    Default money question

Can someone explain me this situation. I captured some cities and earn about 24 000 florins. Then I save game to another name just to try something. In first situtation I spent ALL money to upgrade some cities. And in next turn i had 4800 florins.
Then I load again previous saved game, and then I have not spent anything, I save 24 000 florins. And in next turn I again had about 4800 florins. How it works?

You probably spend some money on troop recruitment/upgrades, do you have any in the pipeline? or are you using a mod?

At the start there is 24078 florins and in next turn there is 2422 florins. Then I load again saved game when there was 24078 and spent money for rome, naples, veneci etc.
And after that turn there was 2929 florins.

Why does your treasury go down to 108 after hitting end turn the first time?

As Sitalkes wrote, it's because you have stuff in the queue. When buildings are in the queue, the cost is not yet accounted until you can actually build that building.

So let's say you have 600 florins and the following buildings in the queue:

    [100 cost] [500 cost]

where the 100 cost building is completed at the end of the turn.

Assuming the 600 florin treasury stays the same if you end the turn, then on the next turn you have 100 florins, because the 500 cost building is automatically deducted from the 600.

Now assume that instead of ending the turn with 600 florins, you spend 450 florins training troops in another city. If you end the turn, then on the next turn you will have 150 florins, because the 500 cost building in the queue is not automatically activated (since you can't afford it). This is why it seems like saving money actually makes you lose money.

Understand that, but i have not any building or unit in the queue. There is some building under upgrade, but only one by city, so they are already paid.

Then maybe because you have settlements on automanagement and the AI spent the money for you.

Are you playing a Mod by the way?

I am curious because it appears like Russia and Byzantium have switched locations! It's turn 133 so it is possible that, Russia left it's homelands to take over the Balkans / Near-East .. & Byzantium expanded northwards etc.. tho it doesn't quite account for the stretches of rebel territory.

I very curious because it seems like Russia and Byzantium have switched places == plz explain! =)

that is the problem i think... auto-managed are cities where has no a generals...
In Overviews box, AL Spend Policy I move scroll to minimum

And there was 14 243 florins after next turn. I think it would be better if that scroll was at minimum by default. Thus, it automatic consumes a lot of money for unnecessary building in some cities.

    @PrestigeX
At the beginning of the game, I move almost all army to south, and capture Constantinople. Later, i sold cities on north to Byzantine

Great. You finally resolved the problem.

I suggest making auto management disabled by default for all settlements by enabling the "always manage cities" option in the campaign settings. Even if you have the AI spend policy all the way on "Save", the AI will still spend some money nonetheless (it just doesn't spend as much).
