The Current range of attacks by the Outlaw Band

297 AL, an unknown outlaw band has been raiding up and down the Dornish frontier. Brigands have been crossing the Torrentine river to strike at the heart of western Dorne. The skirmishes and raids have resulted in confusion and frustration in the Dornish authority in the region, House Dayne. Lord Henryk Dayne of Starfall has been tasked with putting down the outlaw band. After an assault deep within Dornish territory on a trade convoy from Starfall to Skyreach, the bandits ambushed and slaughtered over a dozen men, before stealing most the goods, and leaving. Lord Henryk travelled to King's Landing to acquire a proclamation parchment which gave him permission, from King Maegor I Baratheon to pursue the bandits into Tyrell territory across the Torrentine River. Lord Henryk put his nephew, Ser Travers Dayne, Sword of the Morning, and Marshal of Western Dorne, to the task of investigating the ongoing situation, hunting down, and bringing to justice the bandits... By any means necessary.

Preparation

Ser Travers walks into the courtyard of Dorne, where 50 men are lined up. He paces up and down the line quietly before speak

You are all now deputized marshals in the service of Starfall, and Dorne. We have been tasked with bringing an outlaw group to justice. Their last attack, 2 months ago on a trade caravan, on the Prince's Road, led to the deaths of over 20 men, including nearly a dozen soldiers.

It isn't a matter of if we find these brigands, it's a matter of when. This group has been formed for the sole purpose to hunt brigands like these down. You have already been briefed on the situation by your captains.

The brigands are crossing the Torrentine river from the Reach and assaulting our people. They are raping, pillaging, and murdering all in their path. And stealing what goods they can find. Well it's time we return the favor. I'm going to lead this group to hunt down each and every one of these criminals, and they will face justice... One way... Or another.

We will be departing Starfall at dawn. I suggest you all rest up well tonight. It will be a long road ahead of us.

That is all. Ser Travers finishes his speech, and watches as the men salute him before returning to their quarters

Lord Henryk is waiting to speak with Travers

Well said... Grand Marshal. You will make a fine seasoned veteran one day, Travers. The last man to wield that sword was the greatest fighter Westeros has ever known. I know you will show him honour in your undertakings. Are you prepared for this venture?

Ser Travers dazes off into the distance and turns to his uncle

Ofcourse, uncle Henryk. This is what I was made to do. This is why I am here. This mission will prove to Dorne, and the Princedom in Sunspear, that I am a trusted, and worthy knight. I won't fail, uncle. I swear it

Henryk nods

I know, Travers. I know. There's no man I'd rather give this mission to than you. I know you won't let me down. You should get some rest. You got an army to lead in the morning.

In silence, Travers nods, and takes his leave
