Oldtown - The Wedding of Elbert Arryn and Alynna Hightower

The arrangements have been made, the plans have been set. Today, Elbert Arryn, nephew of Lord Jon Arryn, Lord of the Eyrie, Defender of the Vale, Warden of the East and Master of Whispers, will be joined in holy marriage beeath the Seven to Alynna Hightower, daughter of Leyton Hightower, Lord of the Hightower, Voice of Oldtown, Lord of the Port, Defender of the Citadel and Beacon of the South.

Invitations have been sent by raven to all Lords of Westeros and beyond, to those from as far away as the Summer Islands and the Free Cities. The Hightowers have trade contacts in half the world, and the Arryns are well loved by all.

The ceremony will take place in the Starry Sept of Oldtown, the most magnificent Sept outside of the capital. Afterwards, the bride and groom will lead a procession to the centre of the city, where magnificent boats will carry the guests across to Battle Island and the Hightower, where the feast will take place. Members of the City Watch of Oldtown will watch from a distance, to ensure the safety of all guests, will also staying relatively inconspicuous.

Rumour has it that Leyton Hightower will descend from the Hightower for the first time in over a decade to watch the wedding of his daughter.

The redwynes was happily present and had Arbor gold with them to the occasion.

Lord Jon Arryn and Lord Ronnel Arryn, uncle and father to Elbert, enter.

Lord Leyton Hightower immediately goes to shake Jon's hand as he arrives. His grasp is strong, and he is as big as ever, showing few signs of age, but he s oddly pale.

"Ah, Jon, it is good to see you again."

The Redwynes are shown to their seats in the Starry Sept. As fellow Reach lords and friends of House Hightower, they are given seats of high honour, near the front of the Sept and just a few rows back from the Hightower, Arryn and Royal seats, should the King choose to come.

The Beautiful Wilette Redwyne took seat first, she had Ronia in her hand who took seat beside her, Logan nodded and winked to the groom before taking seat.

[Adamat]

"My friend Hightower. I see you have left your tower. How fare you?"

[Gandalfus]

Harald lannister arrives, bearing a gift for the groom.

He grimaces. "I'm well, as usual, the problem is everyone else, present company excepted. Only the Seven know what I'll do if I hear another petty knight saying 'Yes Lord, of course Lord, whatever you want Lord Hightower ser!'" He sighs, looking to the floor. When he looks back up he seems pained. "I can't stand people acting the perfect part around me, just because of who I am. Would that I was born a merchant's son, so that I could share a drink with friends instead of being forced to share my table with..." He stops himself and manages a smile. "Bah, this isn't a day for me to moan at the world, it's a day of joy! We're blood now, Jon, or soon will be."

[Adamat]

"I'll drink to that, ser Hightower." Said Jon, jesting at the Ser part.

Elbert was happy to see Lannisters, and said "Hail, Ser Lannister. I am glad you are here."

[Gandalfus]

Harald lannister arrives, bearing a gift for the groom.

[Gandalfus]

Hail, Elbert. I wish to congratulate you on your wedding. Man of the Hour eh? I have come with a gift to present to you... It wasn't cheap.
Harald has a slightly amused look upon his face.

[Adamat]

"Well then, what has my lord brought me?" Elbert was happy lord Lannister brought him a gift.

[Gandalfus]

Harald reveals a gilded dagger, it's edge is the sharpest castle forged steel to be found (+3 to assassinations)
I think you might have use of this.

[Adamat]

"Why, do you believe i grow tired of my wife so quickly?" Elbert jested. "But seriously. Thank you."

[Gandalfus]

Harald was pleased that he liked the gift.
Glad you like it. And congratulations. I hope you enjoy your wedding, Elbert.

Harald sat near lord Jon, and waited for the ceremony to begin.

King Maegor I Baratheon arrives with members of the Kingsguard for the wedding. This was the second marriage of the Arryn family to another family of great reputation. A couple servants arrived with gifts for the future couple.

The Reynes arrive behind their liegelords the Lannisters, happy to witness this latest sacred union under the Seven. The deeply religious Lord Robb, in particular, is awestruck at the majesty of the ancient Starry Sept.

Ser Jon is close by King Maegor, keeping his eyes ever watchful

Ser Lenford is quiet and taking a slow walk through the festivities on patrol. He glances at Lady Rylene Reyne of Castamere, who arrived with her family

Lord Leyton and his son, Ser Baelor, come to greet the King. They both bow low before him, and Lord Leyton speaks, awkardly but with great respect. "Your Grace, I am honoured by your presence. We had hoped you would attend, but certainly we were not sure of it. I am glad you came to Oldtown, I have longed to see our new King."

Ser Baelor rises, and nods to Ser Jon Grandison. "Ser Jon, I don't believe we have met. I see your brother Ser Harrold is not in attendance. I was hoping to see him again, we faced one another in the joust at the tourney."
