Default How to fix a mouse?

My current mouse is half-broken and i can hardly play any games with it besides MMORPGs.

Its sensetivity has dropped dramatically and that impairs me a ton in a lot of games.

I only lightly banged it once on my desk due to some frustration and it became like this.

Its sensetivity is like, seriously low and sometimes its not responsive at all.

What kind of a mouse is it (manufacturer/model)? Is it an optical or a roller/ball mouse?

You could try blowing pressurized air at the sensor to clean out any hairs or dust.

BTW, I have a 6 years old Logitech Wireless mouse, that has been dropped on the floor, soaked in soda and other types of molesting. It still works as well as new

Then try the pressurized air, and if it doesn't work then buy a new one..

You could attempt feeding it cheese, that normally works.

    Et in Arcadia ego.

Have you tried resetting the mouse's options or even reinstalling its drivers?

Did you scratch the lens when you banged it? Or just rattle the parts inside?

I would follow irishron's advice. This has happened to me before, and I eventually found out my mouse settings had been changed, so the sensitivity level was at the minimum, it made me so angry
