finding coordinations is not that hard, select the corner, go to you camera settings, then look that the coordinates of the target... pretty simple...

yeah you can use the box coords but be careful as you can glitch yourself that way ^_^

Hey man, i've tried alot to make 3 custom maps to work for up to 4v4. But it just crashes without reason...
The Deployment Areas file and the mapinfo file are both how they should be.. They are very simple, and i used them for all maps, so they all have the same deployment zones. But it just crashes.. While alot of other custom maps made by others just work with up to 4v4.
If you may find the time and will, could you please look at whats wrong with my deployments?
Here are the files if you want:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/61938015/maps.rar
theres nothing wrong with it, it is the game that has a problem with loading the saved deployment xml and it reverts it back to the default 1v1 zones instead of using the others, it sometimes works for 1-2 games but after that it gets 'corrupted' again, it is a known issue or so so they have stated but idk when they plan on fixing it...

Other custom maps always work more vs more.. I played the custom map d-day Operation Overlord with the creator and 3 others alot.
like i said - some work sometimes some do not.. I havent really pinpointed what it is just yet - I will let everyone know when i do![]()

I keep missing parts of deployment zones? have you figured out what to do about that?
if i make rectangular zones i end up with 2 triangles half the size and if i make a 5 or 6 corner zone there will be a piece missing aswell.. not half though

i found this line "<centre x="1" y="0"/>" in the deployment info of the satsuma castle example map.. could this be it?
it wasnt it but as soon as i did what the devs did with deployment zones (a loooot of points) it seems to work outnow ive gotta find out why their units get stuck doing nothing in the middle of my thick bamboo forest.. ill try to trim a bit or might try a no go region after ill try to attack through it myself
yeah too many objects close together causes weird things. Also - what the devs do in their examples are a bit different than what I do but both methods workthe reason you were having trouble with 4 points is the error this is intended to fix... it for some reason disregards the 4th point so it connects the third to the 1st, so to bypass this(which for some reason works) you just make a 5 point deployment zone where the 4th and 5th point are the same line but one point is halfway from 4 to the ending 5th point(aka back to 1) if that makes sense to you :p
edit; also on your positions above; you didn't connect the last point to your first to close the deployment zone up properly.. the last point should be the same as the first.

Yeah but it allways seems to want to snap onto to that last point so im pretty sure i did connect it properly.. oh well what i do now is just fine.. there seems to be a problem with defender/attacker though.. no matter which one i choose i get the same deployment space :/ ill just redo em and check again
what do you mean it always gives you the same one? like in sieges? cause to sue the other zones you need to swap sides..also make sure your alliance ID is different typically just 0 and 1

Yeah thats the whole thing it doesnt work :/ it doesnt matter if i go attack or defense i end up in the same deployment zone, even when in the editor one is red and the other blue.. blue should be the defending side right?
hmm... like you switched sides in game right? not just hit the button but drag your banner to the other sides slots.
