The battle for Tall Trees Town

A the first light of dawn, some great Redwyne merchant ships enter the docks of Tall Trees Town. Unbeknownst to the townsfolk, 10,000 Golden Company men are hiding within the bellies of the ships. After the sailors open the cargo space of the ships, the Company storm onto the land and the battle for Tall Trees Town has begun. Riders storm through the wide streets, foot soldiers patrol the alleys.

Tall Trees was under attack! 300 archers, 150 footmen, and 50 mounted men are sent down to the quay to try and delay these attackers while the other 7,000 men prepared other defenses throughout the city.

These 500 men set up defenses in a main road that was impossible to bypass, they then sat there and waited for the attackers to come up.

The left flank light riders company detached from the body and charged at the 500. The 700 light horse came close, while 1500 foot men ran behind the cavalry to deal with the remnants.

Going to assume that the 500 are vanguard type thing, therefore attacking first.
300 archers, the Summer Isles produce finest archers in the world. 300 fire, half have chance of hitting for direct casualties. Roll D150 = 130. 370 light riders remaining.

Up the road a ways is a barricade setup, manning the barricade are 1000 men, 400 foot, 150 cavalry, and 450 archers. They are waiting for the enemy to arrive, but the remainder of the first force does so first. They now have 500 foot, 200 cavalry, and 550 archers.

The Companions from the van decide to wait for the other men, and 2000 fresh footmen in a shield wall move forward, supported by 600 archers.

The Company is unharrased for a long time until they reach some of the walled manses. At these walled manses there were archers scattered around roofs and walls, these were men and women hand picked who could get away and back to the keep within several seconds.

The bonus was less volleys, they were elevated well above your troops and picking targets as serperate entities not entire ones. Even watching for ambushes two volleys into the center where you would be more lax would hit atleast that number I have. Honestly I just wanted to advance RP, if I had of sent a melee force bonus would of been more noticable.

IC: After that volley, the 3rd mounted riders batallion bolted forward along the road, while everyone was scrambling to reach the main enemy hold.

The path was clear, there were no more men to ambush them.

An hour after the ambush, every man has reached the enemy stronghold, and the siege equipment is brought up. 5 rams move forward, and 3 onagers are firing at the wall.

The Summer Islanders are ready, archers have bows strung and battle is afoot, all calvary are unmounted and fighting as foot on the walls.

2500 men are to attack the main gate, 1000 both are assigned to the left and right, and 1500 to the back. the storm can begin, with 2678 men in reserve.

Seeing the large host of men at the front gate 2000 Summer Islanders are rushed forward to it.

To the Left and Right is sent 1500 men.

To the Back is sent 1775 men leaving none in reserve because the Summer Islanders know that there is no winning if the walls are breached.
