one question. If you want to put some soldier over, for example, a temple, what do you have to do? cause i put a go region over it but i cant deploy units over it.
OK I have some problems, I made a map with a castle, I want it to be like a land battle, so no one starts in the castle. I have to set the map to siege otherwise the game will crash if I press the start button. But when I set it on siege, the defender can spawn in the castle.... That is not what I want... Here is a older version of my map, only thing you should do is make a go region..

Haldier you need to make the area in a zone not a go-region :p

Well I have a map, a map with a castle. But I just want it to be a land battle with a castle that can be captured. But the AI puts his ranged units in the castle at deployement, other units just as I want it to(only when AI is defender ofc). So is there a way tosolve this?

As for tj7, it sounds like you want a fort held by nobody. Is that going well, or can I take a look at it?

Ive been trying the same but i run into other hiccups.. deployment fase is fine but crashes if i start with 2 full armies, then tried one with only 2 cav units both sides and i could start the battle and enter the castle.. i however could not capture any of the buildings/gates and when i dismounted one of my units the game crashed.. :S so either there's a problem with infantry or there's issues having forts in land battles..
You could post your map if you want so I can do troubleshooting.
Yes please samand TJ/Adreno - I tried similar things you need key buildings on though i believe mine works but its not entirely like your guys full scale forts :p

lol every capture point starts neutral and when i take over the castle when im the defender i lose the battle :x guess you allways have to have deployment zones covering the defense capture point.. otherwise it wont work
Well yeah i had key buildings set to true but to no avail.. if i change it to a siege mode however the map runs great, so i figure it has something to do with infantry not being able to capture gates and towers in a land battle, im gonna finish it and ill post it soon
yeah when you get it to a good point throw it up on here and ill take a look at it myself too.. see if i can't spot anything..
edit; just noticed you said something about gates - yes gates are for SIEGES only.. you can't have them functional in land battle unfortunatelyleast I havent figured a way to do it yet

So its just gates that are the problem? Right now im making a map with sunken walls, is it possible to garrison those in a landbattle? I can get rid of the gate
I removed the gates and it still crashed, so i went with the compound walls instead of sunken castle walls.. they are pretty neat you can even garrison them from 2 sides and everything works fine now.. just have problems with a segmented bridge now.. having a zone and a go area around them does nothing.. and there's a bridge behind the satsuma example map that doesnt have any zones around it and it works just fine

some buildings have pre-made zones/eflinesthats why also what do you mean by sunken?

by sunken castlewall i mean ive dropped it into the ground so much that only the walkway and the wooden fence are sticking out.. there's no wall anymore.. it is almost the same as compound walls but those are really short and take forever to build with.. also the grid functions for compound walls is a bit off
