Unspecified Error, Steam-style
So I recently reinstalled Medieval II on Steam and it's giving me the same old problems as before. Now, I didn't expect any differently, but this time around I can't even get the game to boot up from Steam ONCE, just ONCE, before I get this oh-so-beautiful "unspecified error" bull. I can't even get my mods to work, and they used to run fine even when I couldn't boot up vanilla or Kingdoms. I need some help here, obviously.

Re: Unspecified Error, Steam-style
I just tried running all the .exe files as admin in one way or another and running them in compatibility mode for XP service pack 3. So far no dice, though the problem I get now is steam saying I can't run the program because its already running.

I did, but it didn't seem to help anything.

Re: Unspecified Error, Steam-style
Have you tried deleting both Medieval II Total War folders and reinstalling?
