Really quick question that I've been looking for ages to see if it's been asked before and couldn't find anything, but is it possible to move the naval ensigns of frigates and unrated ships from the fugly staff on the taffrail to the more historically accurate, and in my opinion better-looking position flying from the spanker gaff? If so, how would I go about doing that?

Also, I've noticed that occasionally ensigns will fly from the bottom of the staff instead of the top, as if the ship had struck her colors. This happens a lot more frequently in Napoleon than Empire, but I'm wondering if it's simply a glitch, and if there's some way to take advantage of this to provide a visual change in the position of the ensign when a ship surrenders, i.e. striking her colors.

Any thoughts?
