A Storm of Swords (fast & convenient HS)

Since we are almost all the same time zone and all will like to play in the evening, I haven't come up with an order yet. We can of course also try to just play fast, but that depends on the players... otherwise the time scales will be mostly short periods in the evening, what do you think?

Further changes:

Moved Stannis armies and ships to Storm's End (that's where they met and where Renly was killed)

Moved Renly's troops to Storm's End as well, made Edric Baratheon faction leader and moved Renly to a blind spot in the sea (I have no idea how to get rid of him... but it should do the trick)

Changed alliances: Stannis and Renly allied, Tyrell at war with both of them now.



The HS would be ready for starting now, we only need to discuss the times and fill the last spot, the Lannisters.

New Introduction:

Westeros is in turmoil, and the events come come thick and fast.



Stannis Baratheon has moved his troops to Storm's End, forcing his brother Renly Baratheon to react. The two brothers meet, but come to no agreement. With the help of the dark arts and the bastard Stannis Baratheon has fathered to the Red Priestess Lady Melisandre, Renly Baratheon is assassinated under the eyes of Brienne of Tarth and Lady Cately Stark.

Many believe Brienne of Tarth has killed young Renly, but other believe it was the work of Stannis himself.




Loras Tyrell is one of those who believe Stannis is responsible for the murder and has sworn revenge at any cost. And his sister Margaery wants nothing more than to be the Queen...
Renlys bannerman have moved over to Stannis at Storm's End, while the Tyrells have retreated to their lands in some haste, their plans unknown so far.

And in the North, anther betrayal broods...




Theon Greyjoy, desperate for power and the appreciation of his family and father, has betrayed the cause of Robb Stark, King in the North, and joined the forces of his family to attack the Shores of Stark territory. The lust for power of the young prince however know no borders, and whether he will stop the invasion at the Stony Shore only the gods know.


Robb Stark continues his march South with the armies of the North, pressing forward closer and closer to Lannister lands...

Dragonstone is gifted to Tywin Lannister for his heroic defence of King's Landing in the face of the usurper.

Aurane Waters; the bastard of Driftmark - siezes the fort of his birth, killing his traitorous relatives of the Velaryon family in the process.

This removes the last of Stannis' support outside of the Stormlands.

I did. She is with her brother Loras, with whom she has left Renly's old camp near Storm's End.

Hmm, since the first two players appear to be around right now, why not start right away. The first Round is peace anyways.


All, try to play your turns quickly, it will increase your own fun and the fun of others.

I just had an idea (little too late though lol), do you think it would enhance speed if the two factions some of us control would be set right after one another in the Game? I believe it would. I could change the factions, only thing would be we'd have to start over.

I think that is bad idea. That way players who control 2 factions will be in huge advantage over one faction players.
Better to keep this way...

I don't think it would give the dual-players any serious advantages they don't already have, and I imagine it would make the game progress faster overall.

Well then, it's done. We start over, sorry for the inconvenience. From experience levels and setup I don't believe two faction players will be invincible now, and it is more realistic if the allied factions can better control and plan their moves. Let's see how it works out, all experimental this time as it seems.

Wait my two factions are the last? That gives me a huge desaventage because if ANYONE defeat my armies they cant move and the enemy armies will always move, I know Martell is just like this but I had two factions and both in the end?Seriusly thats crap.

It is bad. Can we go with the counter-balancing rule that says an army defeated by someone who comes after it's owner in the turn order cannot move on its following turn?

Well there would be a rule against that to ensure it is fairer. placements are random and only meant for those with 1 faction to go first and those with 2 factions to go last.

Also if you went first then another faction would be last, stop your bloody whining for once.
