Does anyone know if/how we can cnage the time it takes for units to form up?

I dont want to introduce crazy formations like they do in this, but just speed up the formation of elite units like samurai and monks. i.e. so you can rotate and shift formation of these units much faster then you could ashigaru or wako units. It annoys me when my units sit around doing bugger all while the bad guys close a long distance over a long time and my guys are still trying to figure out where everyone should be standing and what way to face.
