    Default BACKGROUND SCRIPT

    Dear forum,
My 355 AD Iuliani Campaign is developing perfectly. I´m now in the year 362 AD and have still experienced not a single CTD – although I fought about 200 battles as yet.
However, I´m afraid that something is wrong with the background script. I´m definitely activating the script every time I´m loading / reloading the campaign. By activating the script 1 denarii is added to my treasury by default. But neither Italy defected to my colours after capturing the necessary city (Verona or Ravenna I think), nor the “free Frankish army” appeared when I conquered the required city (Augusta Vindelicorm? Augusta Treverorum?) before 358 AD.
Can you advise what´s wrong with my script? I´m playing 6 turns every year, as regulated in the options´ folder and I think that is a confirmation that the script is activated and running. Or will the scripted assistance (free army, defection of Italy) only be added if your economy and treasury is disastrous? My most poorly balance was – 57.000 denarii in the year 356 AD and now I have a treasury of + 250.000 denarii.
    Regards Marcel

Yeah I'm not sure either. I've experienced the same thing in my Procopius campaign. I had to go ahead and conquer each city in Italy individually.
I'm wondering if the defection is faction specific.

Ravenna has to be in the hands of either the Constantius II faction or roman rebels to gain the Italian Peninsula. If it is in the hands of the Free Peoples then this doesn't seem to happen. As for Frankish Foederati recruitment, 18 turns must have elapsed and what you will gain is not a Frankish Foederati army in Augusta-Treverorum but the Foederati buildings to recruit them.

Hm... Ravenna was in the hands of the Roman Rebels at the time I conquered the city.
Since I´m now in the year 362AD I played already 42 turns... but no foederati building appeared in Augusta Treverorum Isn´t this strange? But nonetheless its a really fantastic mod !!!

It is strange as I have both of those things work for me. I have found though, if the script wasn't loaded before those events occur then they won't happen. The script must be activated everytime you load the campaign, but still, you should still have had the foederati buildings available for Augusta Treverorum. Any chance of a picture showing the buildings available for that city?

And glad you like the mod.

I shall check the building browser for Augusta Treverorum towards evening and post a picture if necessary.
Thank you very much for your quick reponse,
    best regards

Sorry - no Frankish foedus available in Augusta Treverorum. I have attached the file of my saved campaign... maybe you can find out what´s wrong with my script. How can I activate the foederati treatments (the Frankish foedus is in 358 AD, I think) "by hand" with the console?
    Thank you, best regards Marcel
