Im thinking of building a NAS, and ditched completely the idea of a gaming capable silent desktop. This is going to replace mine and take less space.

This will be in the living room, connected to the a new wireless router that I will buy in due time, Im torn between those 2:
Apple MD031LL/A AirPort Extreme Base Station IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n
Buffalo Technology AirStation AC1300 / N900 Gigabit Dual Band Wireless Router, IEEE 802.11ac/a/b/g/n - WZR-D1800H
I find the buffalo extremely interesting due to the ac protocol, since me and my sister only have notebooks, this would be a good choice, when I upgrade the wifi card on her notebook.
There are 3 uses that will come to this:
Storage - music and video collection, programs, installers, cat warmer
HTPC - Video and music playback
Server - for learning purposes and program development
PS: the ram was chosen as such due to it being probably where I will host my VMs to test my programs
Another thing, what you guys think of this MS mouse?
Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse RVF-00001 Black 2 Buttons
it feels good in my hand, and sincerely for me would be a god send, since Im coming back to windows notebooks, thus a mouse is needed
So any thoughts?
