More Spartan Looking Spartans

Hey guys I just did a few battles as Sparta and lokking at the Spartan Hoplites (The ones with the A looking design on their shield) they look good. But I don't see the Spartan in them. Make no mistake they do look good. But they could really look more Spartan.

Looking at them they're armor looks like the greek hoplites and they're helms look like greek armored caps. I just don't see the Spartan in their looks.

I would like to see the classic Bronze Spartan armor, The classic Bronze helmet with the distinctive red plumes. And the red cloaks. I know they're supposed to be Honor Guard but I think Honor Guards stuck to the rituals and stuff of the past.

I don't think anyone can say the classical period Spartans aren't super cool, however RSII doesn't represent this time period (over a hundred years earlier). The team seems to be trying to maintain historical accuracy, so that's why they don't look like you are picturing them.

Still a great looking faction in my book, though

You can mod them your self to have a different look. try some of the units from Spartan total war if you know how, its not hard, check the tutorials section for a crash Corse on basic modding.

TBH, I'm with this guy on that. They look great as they are...but the description he gives - gives a better looking Spartan, for teh luls.

I don't think it will ever happen...not from the dev's.

But someone could make his own version and just put it up as an alternative.

What a neccesary post ... And mission is not really accomplished:

The link I posted is from a RS2.1a submod. I don't know whether it is compatible with RS2.5, you have to ask the developers.

Closed. Not going to happen as part of the main mod for the reasons given. Try submods.
