The Small Council

[Lucius Malfoy]

The small council was a group of trusted advisers that included various Lords and members of the court that served as personal aides to the King of Westeros. They help in keeping the realm secure and in order while also advising on actions that the King should make or suggest to make.

The Council ranks fully manned, Maegor has servants go and call for each of the Masters and the King's Hand to meet in the council's chambers. The King was already present, having reviewed a few things that had been reported to him. Ser Godwen awaited outside of the doors as a guard for the council's meeting.

Harald arrives to the council

Maegor nods to three of his appointed Masters.

Now we await Ned...then we can get this started.

Eddard Stark arrives to the small council chambers and nods to Godwen on his way in.

The servants give them wine and bread before leaving. Maegor then leans back in his chair as he sips his wine. He looks at those present.

We now await Petyr, but prepare your statements so that way we can begin right away.

Eddard speaks up,

I haven't been here long enough to make a statement! And don't even bother thinking that I'll know what topics will come up.

[Lucius Malfoy]

Maegor glances at Eddard.

You must have heard something at least that is worth bringing up, Ned. If not...that is fine.

[Gandalfus]

Harald shook his head.
I believe your grace that you have made wise investments so far, and these will repay in the future. But Eddard is right, there is nothing worth discussing. The capital is functioning fine. No problems are occur in as far as I can tell

[Lucius Malfoy]

Maegor sighs lightly.

It is interesting to hear such words, Lord Lannister. Barely two decades and the realm is still at peace. I am surprised nobody tried anything while Robert the Younger was on the throne.

[Gandalfus]

Harald nods.
Peace is good, but everything is tense. The iron islands and dorne are bitter of the recent wars, we must tread lightly.

[Lucius Malfoy]

I am very much aware. I am more concerned about what the Greyjoys will do...I do not think they have learned their lesson from the last rebellion of theirs.

[Gandalfus]

The greyjoys never seems to learn your grace.

[Bonez]

Eddard looks toward Maegor to see if interjecting would be alright.

[Lucius Malfoy]

Maegor nods to Eddard.

Speak up, Eddard. You are the King's Hand, you may speak freely.

The King sips his wine before looking at Harald.

Ironborns are proud...the Westerlands will have to keep a good eye on their islands.

[Gandalfus]

Harald nods.
I'm planning to expand the western navy soon. Ships will have to be bought.

[Adamat]

"As my spies do already. If the ironborn try anything, we'll receive reports of that soon enough."

Exactly my thought, more ships in the North to deter them from any action. Along with protecting the holdings along the coast.
