Numidia Auto-Resolve Only Campaign

I just thought i'd make a topic about my campaign so i cn paste a pic of my beautiful army.

I'm playing Vanilla RTW as Numidia on M/M but i may only auto-resolve battles. It has been really good (no tedious battles) and this is like teh longest i have stuck it out in a RTW campaign.

I crippled carthage straight away, rushing the capital itself. Scipii took it from me before my main army could return. I got it back and didn't look back. I secured all africa and then sicily. After losing my main army against SPQR twice (i sent one alone and they perished despite losing one battle and having many men left). I built up 3 new stacks and took all italy. I wasn't greedy so i stopped at the alps. I have struggled against the britons in spain but i have always dominated the sea everywhere.

I held off britons at new carthage for ages, but they finally took it on a counter attack (after i lost a 5:1 battle on M/M !!!). I sent just one stack to take all greece. It managed this nicely and became my elite stack that brings a tear to my eye. They have been shipped south to take on egypt now and take back one of my original settlements. Sure the units aren't great (most numidian ones aren't) but all that gold is soo cool.

I love that army

Havent played Vnailla is years but wow thats an impressive emprie and army.

Very nice job there Hannibal Barca, must have been a real challenge with Numidia, though I have to admit they are a bit easier to play as in vanilla than in other mods. Good job though, maybe someday I can do a Numidian campaign again (but not auto resolve only

)

Numidia isn't as bad as many people here think, it's true they start out very weak, but they have really nice units.

Well they really are better in vanilla than in other mods, because in vanilla they have more land and are slightly less poor to begin with, and their units are pretty good too. In the other mods though, they are given a bit less land and money, and their units are bad early in the game.

I have also played as numidia on RTR on VH/H (it might have been VH/VH). They are in a much worse condition but i like their desert infantry. They are cheap and reasonable, and carthage have rubbish infantry early on so i managed to beat carthage and take africa early on (the numidian cav did most of the work). I may play numidia on RTR again soon. Since i've finished my exams!!!

That is one impressive army you got their Hannibal. congrats

Haven't played Vanilla but still a very good job conquering the land.
I was just wondering why you have taken away what many believe to be the core of this game in the battles themselves.
Keep up the good work.
