I thought I would make this official so that you guys are all aware. Joerock22 has joined Gaming Staff recently, becoming the new head of the ThirdAge section of HSing. Under his leadership and with a little recruiting on my behalf, GS hopes to grow the TA community, having in the past somewhat neglected the section for reasons that no longer apply. With any luck next year we can host a Third Age HS Awards like the one Westeros is currently holding... but that is a topic for another time. Until then be sure to congratulate Joe on his new position and I shall do some headhunting for 1-2 other GS recruits that can assist him, already have a few recommended names.

Congrats to Joe. I didn't even realize this section with TATW existed until Soul pmed me. I'm on cloud 9 right now, knowing that I have an outlet for both my Game of Thrones and LOTR obsessions

Hopefully we can get a balance patch soon, and maybe some awards? Without a man siphoning my votes and Riverknight bribing everyone in the cigar lounge I can clinch that 'funniest user' award EZ PZ.

I'd like you all to welcome your newest members of Gaming Staff who's focus will be here on ThirdAge helping out Joe with the revival of the community. JWANT - Gimli10 - Chieftain. I'll look into more HS player recruitment (when I return from my holiday, don't have access to Medieval or my recording equipment until I return) in an effort to assist GS here. I'm certain Joe's team can handle themselves but hopefully I can made things a little easier for them.

After a long period of absence, I have decided to withdraw from all hotseats I am in. It has been an honor fighting with and against you gentleman, ladies if you are one, but I no longer have the time to play in a hotseat. I may return in the future.

P.S. If any of you would want to play some type of game with me, be it hotseat or multiplayer, get in touch with me on Steam. The majority of you have me, but if you don't go to Joerock's friends list. Why Joerock, because he's the first one I thought of. Also he admins a lot of hotseats and it's good to be in touch with an admin.

So, downloaded Third Age but every time I attempt to use the patch it says there are corrupted files, have tried 3 times, any ideas?

You're installing TATW_3.0_Part1of2 and TATW_3.0_Part2of2 and then the patch, right? Maybe the installation files are at fault. Try downloading the files again and install.

I'm positive it's not the other files because it happens when I click the patch exe. it doesn't even gt taken near the other files :/

Working, do we have enough new players for a new Newbloods? I'd love to play in a couple hotseats and need to become more familiar with the mod. Starting outt with a new faction is much preferable to replacing and so forth

Not now I don't think so. TATW has many spots that need to be filled and it would be rather contradictory given recent developments to start new hotseats
