Default XFX GeForce 7900 GT Extreme Edition?

    Hi guys,

Does anyone have one of these and can you recommend it? Or are there other factory-overclocked versions of the 7900 GT by other companies which are better?

Thanks a lot for your advice :-)

    Cheers, Germanicus91

Personally I just cannot recommend a factory overclocked graphics card.
Just buy the unextreme version and overclock in a few years when it might (and I said might ) not be able to run every game on max settings...my 2 cents.
Atm you will not see any difference in any game.

Well get the GTX if you can, but i agree with Aristocrat, one of these babies will be able to handle anything in the next 2 years at least with the settings at full, so theres no need to get the Extreme edition, as you can overclock it yourself if necessary.

One benefit for purchasing a factory OCed VC, is you get OCing and still keep your warranty intact, and thats peace of mind when the warranty is lifetime, as are most of XFX's warranties! JMO

Well, it is more expensive, usually, to buy factory OCed VC. That is enough reason not to buy them. OC them yourself.

Get a stock eVGA card, and get a good heatsink and OC it your self. eVGA's warranty even covers OCing AND changing the heatsink! Also eVGA 7900GT cards are the cheapest 7900GT cards out now.

They should all have that policy. I didn't know that, maybe thats why I've always liked eVga! They all design VCs to be OCed and then they say if you OC'em, you void the warranty! Wtf?
