Some riders arrive at the postern gates of Sunspear Castle. The banner being flown is a sword and a falling star, on a lavender proper. The Sigil of House Dayne. Four riders accompany Lord Henryk as the riders approach a Martell guard

I'm Lord Henryk Dayne, I request an audience with Prince Doran.

He is welcomed into the palace to see Prince Doran. He is brought to the center of the palace where the Prince is seated.

It has been over a decade since Henryk visited the capital, he forgot the amazing and unique architecture of the mighty palace. He goes to Prince Doran, bends to one knee and kisses his hand, as is tradition for the Rhoynar to greet their royal Princes. He then takes a seat where he is directed by the Martell servant

My Prince, how fares things? It has been some time since I've had the honor to meet with you.

Doran grins to see one of his loyal Bannermen, but his grin quickly disappears

Things go well.. or as well as they can. Some still mourn the loss of so many Dornishmen in the war. But the family personally mourns the loss of our sister to those lannister bastards, but that mourning has turned more into anger.

We in the west lament the loss of your family and the many Dornish as well, My Prince. My older brother was also among those lost, Ser Arthur Dayne. Backstabbed by his Kingsguard "brother", the Kingslayer. If I ever got my hands on that scoundrel I would personally deliver his head to Sunspear.

Lord Henryk grows noticeably cross with the thought of back to the war. He was 19 then and served in the war as a contingent commander of one of Prince Oberyn's brigades

I'm glad to see you still have a fire in you Henryk.

The prince gets up and walks toward the balcony motioning Henryk to follow

But you have no need to get worried about war just yet. The time will come.. Maybe it will be in a few days, maybe months, maybe years, but a time will come when the men of Dorne march again and this time we will win. But I dont think you came all the way to sunspear to talk about a war that is to come, so why did you come to Sunspear?

My Prince, I have come for your approval. I am 33 and without a wife. I need a suitable heir and I need a suitable match that would benefit Dorne. I would opt that you arrange it if an alliance is required for Dorne. Any House in Westeros. It will seal an alliance needed for Dorne. She will reside with me in Starfall. It may help easy tensions with some other houses perhaps?

Doran looks out on the city, admiring the view, he sighs
Henryk, I wont say you have to marry a women from westeros and I wont say you shouldnt. But I am saying you shouldnt marry for political convenience or because you need an heir.. you should marry for love. And if you love a women be her from the free cities, like my own beautiful wife, or from the far north, and as long as she's not from the Stormlands, the Westerlands, or the Reach.. you may marry her.

Perhaps I may court from the Vale, North, or Riverlands then. I shall dispatch ravens. On another note, My Prince, how fares your family? Princess Arienne, Prince Oberyn??

Lord Henryk looks into the distance off the balcony at the busy streets below

He looks away from the cities sky line for a second

Send out the ravens, the Riverlands might be your best bet they fought with us as the other houses fought us.

He turns back to the sky line

The Princess says she wants to travel the free cities, her mother says I should let her go.. but I rather have my heir and my daughter be home in Dorne, safe. My brother Oberyn well, he still lives up to his nickname, "the Red Viper" and Viper he is. Mos is as honorable as ever, and as always wants to keep us safe from harm. Quentyn sand does well, but he's always off trying to prove he's a true son of a prince so I dont see him much.

Perhaps it is best, My Prince. However should any of your family require additional protection, my nephew, Ser Travers is quite a good fighter, he is the Sword of the Morning. He spends his days galavanting from woman to woman, with promises of courtship. He needs a good mission to test him. He is an exceptional fighter, but still must learn quite a bit... He's no Arthur.. That's for sure. Henryk shares a grin that quickly turned to a lost frown

Is there any news from the Kingdoms? I have been rather busy and uninformed before my departure, we've had some bandits in the region. Travers quelled the problem however, for now. Sent a dozen to the mines.

Perhaps, if I do let my daughter go I wont let her go unguarded. But dont worry about your nephew if he's anything like my brother he will turn out fine.. he wont stop doing what he does, but he will turn out a fine man.

    The prince Sighs

I dont know what the word is from the kingdoms, and I really dont care. As you know Sunspear is cut off from most contact with the other kingdoms, I prefer to deal with the Free cities than any of the backstabbing 'lords' of Westeros.

A raven arrives for the Prince of the Dorne.

Prince Doran Martell, Lord of the Dorne and Sunspear

By order of King Maegor Baratheon, First of His Name, King of the First Men and the Andals and the Rhoynar, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm, your presence is requested in King's Landing for a meeting between you and the King. Very true, My Prince.

Alas, I must depart, I will be sailing back to Starfall. I have several trade meetings set up in Plankytown, Lemonwood, and Salt Shore, before my return.

I think you should visit Starfall soon, My Prince. The Royal Quarters are better then my own.
    Henryk smirks

My brother and his wife would be honored to meet your acquaintance again. They have a new son, Jon, proclaimed Heir to High Hermitage. I will make sure my nephew is there as well, I do not believe he has ever met any from your family. He would be more than honored I assure you.

    Yes you may..

A man walks in and hands the prince a letter, he leaves and the Prince reads it, He turns from the skyline to Henryk

Wait, I might need your protection sooner than I had thought. It would seem I have been called to that lion's den they call kingslanding.. I cant turn it down, not yet, i dotn want to arouse. It would serve me well to have a good retinue of guards on my side. How would you and Nephew like to protect the Prince, in an unsafe place?

We would be most honored, My Prince. I shall have my brother, Veklund deal with the trade missions. I will dispatch word immediately to Starfall to send my nephew and several guards for my retinue. We may leave at your earliest convenience, My Prince.

A week later Ser Travers is escorted into the council chamber where Prince Doran, and Lord Henryk await.

Henryk rises to greet his nephew

Travers, welcome to Sunspear. This is Prince Doran.

Ser Travers bows before the Prince

My Prince, it is an honor.
