    Default Requesting some Advice...

Im playing a campaign as macadonia on the Extended Greek Mod, ive conquored most of greece, and basically elliminated any remnants of the Greek City States, but thrace and germania are giving me HUGE PROBLEMS! They both keep attacking 2 of my cities with full stacks and they wont stop! I keep defeating them easily suffering only 50 casualties mainly because of my awsome defensive tactic, ive prly killed literally 10's of thousands of thracian and germanic soldiers but they just KEEP COMING!!!!!! argh its so frustrating because i cant even retrain my soldiers or repair my walls. They allways have around 2 stacks full of soldiers around these 2 cities and ive tried to make a seperate army and attack them, but they usually get beat down to a measly force by the time they get through the two full stacks of thracians or germanic soldiers.

Ill try to get a picture of my campaign map tomarrow.

Build an army and send it around their rear and attack thier cities. Then procede to take thier cities, and destroy all thier buildings inside, then leave it, then move on to their next city, that'll cripple their economy and they'll lay off.

Locky's advice sounds pretty good to me. You could also try defending at choke points leading into your territory rather than at the cities themselves. In any case you need to develop effective tactics for defeating them in the field rather than in seige battles.

Build a fort just north of Bylazora. That should hold them back while you train and retrain troops to relieve it, if seiged.

Also make sure you conquer the romans before the reforms unless you want to fight improved romans, seleucids and carthaginians...

Woh woh hold on, so your saying i wont get armored generals if i conquore the romans before marius? i think the armored generals looked a bit out of place anyways, i loved the old generals but the reforms allready happened so =\

is the armored generals body gaurd actually historical? i mean it looks like somthing that would fit better in a mideval game.

The world-wide upgrade aspect is not historical, but the use of heavily armoured cavalry is certainly historical. Horses got bigger, and armour got heavier, as time went on, but there was a direct line of development from the heavy cavalry of the ancient world to the knights of the medeval world.
