Could use some Help with vanilla MTW
Hi, got back into the first Medieval Total War game recently and found a nasty bug. My saved game crashes at the end of my turn every time I attempt to change the taxation rate in any of my provinces or turn "Automanage taxes" on.
Any ideas? It worked fine prior to this recent loadup.

If you end the turn without changing taxes, does it not crash? Because if not you should just end the turn normally, then save again, then try to change taxes on that save.
Alternatively you'll have to load an older save.

If I don't touch the taxes, it does not crash strangely. I haven't tried that yet, I'll give it a go. Thanks
That solved it, loading and resaving. Used the previous autosave. Thanks man, saved me hours of time I put into that campaign

That's one I haven't come across... Be aware that the quicksave has been known to cause savegame corruption. It's more reliable if you save at the beginning of a turn before touching anything - some people report having no problems whatsoever with it. I've had so many corrupted games from it in the past, that in the end I stopped using it altogether - after which I never had another corrupted save - but then if you hit esc to save from the main menu that can be unstable and cause crashes... I'm afraid it's a case of YMMV.
