PLEASE HELP: can't install Kingdoms

I recently bought a copy of Medieval 2 TW Gold edition. When I tried to install, it asked for the second disk. When I inserted disk 2 and selected the proper disk drive to install from I received the error message "Setup could not find a file on a specified path or disk". I quit the setup and went and browsed the disk 2 files and there was no setup file, the only application was a "blank.exe" which would not do anything . I've looked around different forums and they all say browse for "update2" and run from there, but I cannot find update2 anywhere.

What's inside the folder labeled "main"? I bet looking in there may pay better dividends. My memory is hazy on this subject but I distinctly remember having to dig a little on one of the discs to find the installers....

In Folder Options, how about clicking it so the name extensions show up instead of us guessing?

Are you logged in as Administrator assuming Vista or Win 7?

I have to concur. It took me awhile to track down my own disc but you're missing half of the folders you should have. Where did you buy this game from? If you bought a boot-leg copy then I'm afraid you've been burned....

Disk 1 is fine, I was able to install vanilla M2TW with no problems, the expansions are the only things that will not install.
If disk 2 is missing files like you said then I'm assuming it's a faulty disk, I did buy the game used so it's not too surprising.

I'd accuse someone of ripping a copy and taking the copy back for a refund. Return it.

just some questions about the unpacker, after unpacking do i have to install again S.S 6.4 or not ?
Do i have to start a new campaign in order for it to work ?

No, you don't have reinstall SS 6.4 for to work.
Yes, because the pack files have changed.
