    Default Disabling Auto Save

This is more of a Windows 7 question. I have been trying to follow the advice about disabling the auto save feature as a way of reducing CTDs. So after changing the auto save value in the preferences .txt file from True to False, I get an error message when I try to save the change to the efffect that I don't have the authorization for that action. Is there any advice on a work around? i am running RSII on Windows 7. Thanks!

It looks as though you have installed RTW/RSII into one of Windows protected areas (which you are strongly advised in the instructions not to do); or you haven't logged into Windows with Admin Rights.

Doing one or the other (sometimes both) will fix the problem. If the former, then re-installing is the answer.

Thanks. I am new to Windows 7 and just getting used to it. I had installed in the Programs(x86) folder. I'll try a reinstall in a dedicated C: drive folder.

That stupid UAC protection. As per said installing it and putting the mod into another drive or directory will resolve this issue in a heartbeat.
