westeros hotseat

I want to play hotseat campaign with my friends.We are changing medieval2.preference.cfg and adding
[multiplayer]
playable = true

[hotseat]
autoresolve_battles = 1
disable_console = 1
disable_papal_elections = 1
save_prefs = 1
update_ai_camera = 1
validate_diplomacy = 1
turns = true
scroll = true

But there is no hotseat in multiplayer section.And medieval2.preference.cfg reverts as if we didn't change.

right click on your M2 TW folder, see "properties" and untick "read only". Then make the changes. Also IIRC the file you need to change is the .cfg in your mods\ westeros folder (but I don't know its name )

I couldn't untick 'read only'.When I closed properties , it turns back

You can try this:

1 copy the file in your desktop
2 edit in the desktop
3 copy again from desktop
4 overwrite the original

I searched it for days.And I understood that it is more difficult than playing westeros with friends
One of my friends managed to change medieval2.preference.And all of us will take SEGA file from him.Thanks s much for helping.You are best gamer team
