2 laptops to chose from

so there is this Dell laptop:
Dispaly 17.3''
Proccesor-i3
RAM-4 Gb DDR3
Hard disk-500 Gb
Graphics card-nVidia GT525

And this Asus:
Dispaly 15,6''
Proccesor-i5
Hard Disk-500 Gb
RAM-4 Gb DDR3
Graphics card-nVidia GT540

and i believe the proccesors of each are somewhere between 2.2-2.4 Ghz
And note that they are both at the same price
What should i chose?

Those aint the best of the mainstream even, but according to basileos there isnt much to chose from.

the asus would be a better choice.

A desktop with a decent dedicated graphics card.

You want medium/high, you need at least 512mb of dedicaed graphics memory. In Total War games, shared memory does not enter into their graphics memory equation.

My 9800GT will do it. My Radoeun x1950Pro won't. GTS250 is a rebranded 8900GT to give you a reference point.

you should be able to play on mid settings at 1366*768, which is probably the res that is in that asus

I was playing on medium on a 256MB NVIDIA and with a Core 2 Duo 2.0GHZ, so with that configuration you can easily play on high settings.

you guys forget that the problem is always the res that you play the game in.

if its 1080p yes, medium is whats going to be. or even low, mixed settings is for sure.

The gt 540m is a fermi based card that was renamed from the gt 425m, the gt 250 aint that a good card at all. its old and its slow.

its really best if you get that asus.
