Default THREADS (Nuclear War Aftermath Movie)

So, I have been watching some post-apocalyptic series and movies lately (I just finished Jericho, which, I think, is a very underrated TV show) and I remembered a movie made by the BBC in 1983 called THREADS. My teacher made us watch it when I was in elementary school. I am watching it right now and it is just as gritty and terrifying as it was when I was a kid.

I don't know why, but there is something about the post-apocalyptic thing that interests me. Whether it is nuclear, biological, zombies or whatever, the story of human survival after a horrific event grabs a hold of me and doesn't let go.

Have any of you seen it? If you have not and you are interested, I have provided a link to the full movie on YouTube.

Feel free to comment on this or any other movie or series that you can think of because I am always looking for something new to watch.

Ive seen it. Great movie. Seems very plausible. But Jericho was kind of lame. I just hated how in every episode they magically wiggled out of any tough situation that might appear. Jericho did not feel realistic with happy endings every episode.

That's cool. Yeah, I guess it did have that kind of TV series formula where it starts off with a problem and it is solved by the end of the show. However, not all episodes were like that and I liked how there was a story that went all the way through the series. I thought it was kind of cool.

Its a possibility in real life. Really after any disaster that is the most common outcome.

I remember Jericho being shown on TV but it stopped as it was getting interesting. Haven't seen Threads, though I have heard of it.

It can be true for minor disasters but they wouldnt just get through so easily in a major catastrophe when millions die.
