What faction are you most interested in to play as?

This is a new poll to see where everyone stands on this issue; what faction are you most interested in?
I have decided to exclude Starks from this poll because in the previous thread the starks were leading by more than 50% of the total vote count.

I have also included other factions that might or might not make an appearance AFTER the 1.0 release.
this purely out of curiosity, the factions in question have a little star (*) right at the end.

also please state your reasons as to why you would play that faction.

i really like the Ironborn, plus i just think they have a really great attacking position/expansion potential

House Arryn - I'm the kind of TWer who likes to camp and build up his provinces. Fighting battles is so passe.

Tully here - They have put all at stake and lost everything - same as Starks. And Brynden the Blackfish is one of mine best characters - also i want to see him married ( in game ).

I have to say that I look forward to playing House Frey as they seem like a challenge. Then it should be Stannis for same reason and Targs would be next for fun purpouse.

Joffrey for me. After having destroyed him playing as the North, I'll take the evil side.
Then I suppose I'll play Frey... a true challenge, 2 castles against entire world! or, at least, Starks, tully and Arryn (who are my initial neightbours)
And then, I'll play Martells and will avoid every bettle

Greyjoy has the best tactical starting position + a great fleet. Also they seemed limited in the alpha version with low quantity of troops to choose from, if that have been modified they should be unstoppable!

Second place: Tully, Frey, Joffrey since they are the most challenging...

Lannister at first just because of their awesome characters (Tywin, Tyrion, Jaime, Kevan, Marbrand) and because I'm sure they'll have some nice units.

Then maybe a Frey game where I wait and go with the winning side or the best gain. And have a chance to see how the game evolves without me interfering in the wars.

Renly (Because the Stormlands are interesting and are gonna have nice units)

That's pretty much how I'll play the game

Shockingly i prefer playing a faction with mostly likable characters so yeah ill play the starks. Even do the autor seem to have decided to wipe them out. But out of the options available id go for Stannis.

Not to get spoilerish, but thats something of an exaggeration, when you total up the number of deaths per family in the books.

And to answer the poll I'd pick any faction that borders Kings Landing, just so I can practice creative ways of killing off Joffrey.

I would play as Stannis because he has a good claim on the throne and a large variety of mercenaries.

Stannis, since I like playing a game from an underdog, although secure position. The first few tactical/strategic moments will be gamechanging, depending on which direction you choose. Also, I've always loved Stannis character, abit like my own playstyle. He'll break before he bends. ^^
