Default How to make a good general and a good administrator

Hi Everyone, I was wondering if you could give me some recommendations and maybe some of your personal stories on how you make your family members either great generals or able administrators. This is one aspect of TW that I've always understood but not to a great extent

    Thanks

Well I don't go to great lengths to do this. But in general, I try to give my governors high chivalry and my generals high dread. Chivalry is great for the population growth and dread is great for making the enemy run away.

So I try to sack/execute with generals and occupy, release, and possibly join crusades with the ones that I want to make governors.

I never tax high, always build as much as I can, put academically minded FM's in city's, military minded ones with armies. Watch out for high level taverns as well.

I forget if that's for Vanilla or not, but it should still be of some use.

Thanks for the links and the advice guys, think I'm starting to get the hang of this. My generals are usually getting good with taxes

About high level taverns... I build one in the city with mason guild. And train there a special kind of governors - for population boost

Well technically schools and universities have chances for a few negative traits, but they're far outweighed by the positive ones.

How about those "Likes Art" traits that give -Command and -something else?
