    Default Dat soundtrack !

Is it possible to have a complete list of the songs you have used in your beautifull and amazing mod ? I recognize some from oblivion, 2 step from hell and arcana but if you could show me the list, it would be appreciated !

There are songs from the games 'Dark Omen', 'Shadow of the Horned Rat', and 'Mark of Chaos' that I recognize. I was trying to find the Chaos soundtrack, their campaign music is awesome. Especially the weird Viking sounding chant.

I know there are some battle songs from the movie '300' as well. Good luck on your search! I'm on that road as well.

Much of Kislev battle music comes from a Polish film "Ogniem i Mieczem ("With Fire and Sword"), based on a novel of the same title. I think its soundtrack received some awards, and rightfully so.

Kinda late but the files are in SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Rage_of_dark_Gods\data\sounds\data\sounds\music. Now mine is rage of dark gods version. Yours might be just plain Call of warhammer.

edit: now that i think about it you might have to first extract the music.dat file first. Then you can see all the songs.

Edit: Damn Im-Potent just realizing now. You necro'd the two ancient topics about music. Telling a guy two years after he posted to good luck with his search sounds funny. Unless somehow older posts got deleted

How do i use the Extractor to expand this Music.dat file? I can run that Music.dat file via lets say windows media player and its just 1 big 24 hour music clip. I would like to have all of those song in separate files if possible...

    use this extractor http://www.twcenter.net/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=32

Use the batch files to extract the music.dat files. What I did was right click and edit extract_sounds.bat file and added music at the end; ".\xidx.exe -x sfx Music". This way it extracts the sound effects as well as music. And each song is separate.

Hey thanks for help but i have one last problem. I did everything you said but once it says that it has sucessfuly extracted files i have no idea where they are... I made sure to check if it takes space off of my Hard drive each time i run it and it doesnt so i am not sure if it does actually do anything... However it does speed up that process each time i run it again which makes me think that he is just overwriting the same thing all over again and again once i repeat it. It runs throught some 476 extractions so i guess these are the songs.I tried to download most recent version of this extractor and it pretty much does the same thing, it extracts everything but i cant find where. Sorry to bother you, i know you are probably not the right guy for this thing ...
