Big Brother in the UK
A pdf Comic on the Matter
This is not V for Vendetta, though it has similarities. It is not 1984, though again it is similar. And it is not about Big Brother House, though again, it is similar. How true is it, in your opinions; how much of a threat is what it reports, if true; and whether, really, any of it matters.

Re: Big Brother in the UK
It makes me worry, even though I am not an English citizen, that this comic was created. By creating it, whomever was the writer/artist shows that their is a possible problem. And considering what this comic mentions...well, it is distrubing.

Does not worry me at all.
God knows we need more order and obedience over in Russia.
Wouldn't hurt in the US inner city either.

Re: Big Brother in the UK
That was... exaggerated.
Yeah, we're watched by thousands of cameras. They see us for about 5 seconds each!
And I'm pretty sure there are no cameras facing my house. If there were I'd move.

Re: Big Brother in the UK
All of it is perfectly true. I don't see how it was 'exaggerated' when it merely stated fact.

It doesn't matter if it is exagerated or not. All that matters is that it exists.

Why do people bother so much about cameras? Its not as if they are in you bathroom or your house is it? All they do is monitor you when in comercial ares, if there was a crime or something serious, then this footage could be used to find the person responsible.

Re: Big Brother in the UK
Tell me how this is bad.
From what I've seen, he says the following things:
1) The government shouldn't be keeping information on us in a convenient electronic database but instead should keep the current system of loads of papers, each held by a different agency which relates in god knows what way to another agency. So he is for confusion in beaurocratic affairs.
2) Riots that cause property damage should not be broken up but rather encouraged as a sign of democracy and the fact that Great Britain no longer possesses a set of testicles.
3) CCTV cameras are most likely looking into your window at this moment, with government agents who just want to catch shots of you undressing. They serve no other purpose but to satisfy the government's lust. I don't know where that's coming from. Maybe the creator of this comic was molested by the government as a child or something, prompting such a reaction.
Or may be that they're whiny idiots who complain about any small security measure as catastrophic.
4) When an officer catches someone resisting arrest, they should give them a stern warning (not in the form of a slap on the wrist, though, because that would just be the government assaulting innocent criminals)
In fact, law should not be enforced, because what kind of government actualy enforces all laws regardless of how serious they are?
That would mean it has some sort of power and believes it's laws are just.
The social democrats have transcended the concept of enforcing laws, because only American imperialist government barbarians who seek to promote child molestation do it, which brings me to the next point:
5) The government promotes sexual perversion: whether it's helping people to molest your children through databases or snapping shots of you bending over, the government simply cannot be trusted to not somehow turn everything it does into something perverted.
You know the War in Iraq?
It was waged solely because with the army away over there, there is no one to stop government agents from molesting your children and/or grandparents!
The great conspiracy that is the government has been exposed, and we can thank this ****ant human rights group no one's ever heard of for it.
Great job guys, thanks for reminding us exactly what utter  we have to put up with if we have free speech.

You can always wear a ski mask and throw rocks at every camera you see. You'll cost your city money but...hey, small price to pay to make a statement and feel like a big man for a few minutes.
