Game crashes as soon as I enter battle

I don't usually fight battles on map but I did this time. It loads and it shows me the battle screen for a second. The colors are funny and then it crashes. A quick check showed that the same thing happened with custom battles. This happens with vanilla and mods.

You have to update you drivers.
i mean your video driver
when i say update i mean download something kind of like a patch

Drivers, heat, power supply dying, take your pick.

Speedfan can tell you your temps and voltages and may want to post a pic.

Question: Have you unpacked any files, whether M2 or any Kingdoms campaigns?

If so, you must delete 2 files in the Data folder. It's a time stamp issue.
descr_geography_new.db
descr_geography_new.txt.

If these two are not deleted, the game will crash every time you load a battle.
