XBOX 360 and CD Scratch

My XBOX360 just did some circular scratches on my Tekken 6 CD and now it doesnt play at all and doesnt install.

A few video clubs in my area have a machine that fixes such scratches but i dont know where they are.

So i was wondering if you guys know any solutions to fixing these circular scratches.

Try a little tooth paste and a lot of elbow grease. It worked on my RTW disc.

What exactly is Elbow Grease?

How can i do it exactly? I tried toothpaste but the scratch wasnt fading at all after a couple of tries, is there a guide somewhere?

Circular scratches? Sounds like you let you xbow drop on the floor while it was playing a disc, these scratches are pretty severe and can't be mended with a little cleaning.

No guide anywhere. It's all word of mouth.

Elbow grease in this case is putting a lot of pressire on the disc while rubbing the toothpaste into the scratches. There are some it won't fix.

I read some guy used furniture polish for the same purpose.

Brass polish works best, from my experience.

Ive tried 3 times now, and the scratch didnt go away at all, not even one bit.

Or should i be patient and try it a lot of times? How should i rub it? Is there a certain technique? For how many seconds/minutes should i rub it for?

If it's too deep, only buying a new one will work.

Rubbing in a circular motion is best if the old brain cells don't fail me.

If you aint got the money but have the time, do it some more. May get lucky yet.

There are video clubs in my area with machines that can fix such scratches, but i want to avoid paying if possible.

Ill go search for them tomorrow morning, i dont have school anyway.

No, rub up and down. That's how the disc gets read.

If your Xbox360 did this while you were doing nothing special then best you hand it in for repair since the 360 sadly still suffers from a bad disc reader.
Out of the 5 360s I had, 3 of them did this, Ruined many games for me.

Five 360's? I never even have owned one. I still have an old though reliable PS2


But in my experience from scratched discs, working on them sometimes will work, sometimes won't. I've never really rubbed any polisher or anything.

Turns out the machine is sold seperately and i cant afford it, and i cant afford a new Tekken 6 either.

So now im stuck

I need to try to fix the CD with toothpaste again

If somebody has a Tekken 6 CD for the XBOX360 and doesnt need it anymore, send it to me, ill pay for shipping at least.
