    Hi guys from the team. Ive been following this mod since the first release and it is a great mod. Anyway, I noticed the amount of corrupted save games really increased in this latest release. I will even say it has become a rule that at some point the save games will become corrupted. I had this problem on previous releases of the mod but they used to be rare. Now, they always happen. I played 3 campaigns, 3 corrupted savegames, 2 on Gig's version, one on vanilla version. I have no autosave in my campaigns as it has been said it increases the chance of corrupted savegames but they get corrupted anyway. Also no cities were being sieged, at least cities that I could see. I also generally have 3 to 5 save files for the same campaign (in case one gets corrupted) but for some reason all of them get corrupted. Aside from that the mod is great. I will also mention that I had virtually no crashes in this version but the corrupted save games really ruin the campaign experience. This version is the most stable when it comes to crashes but the saves are a problem. I would like to ask other players, including the team members, if they are having corrupted saves so frequently. Also, maybe it is time to rethink the scripts and maybe limit the amount of scripts. Just a suggestion.

    Good to know. I mean, this is the most stable version of the mod. I think it is as stable as any other mod if not for the corrupted save games.

    I do not think they try to fix that...

    Those are 2 different issues. I agree with them and they really have no obligation to create the mod in english. Is the fatal script error they are referring to the cause of corrupted saves? Cause It is not actually a crash, more like a fail to load the game in my case. They do care about the community. If they didnt care they wouldnt even mind posting the releases here in twc since they have their own russian forum.

    Werebear said they were looking into it. So it will get fixed. I think its just a matter of time. I appreciate all the team's work on this and the fact that they are supporting an English language version. I am at turn 55 in my campaign and should be coming up to the corrupt save. If all the fixes I try don't work, I will copy/paste the chaos united script from 1.4.4 and test it out.

    I am under the impression that the corrupted save issue exists on both russian and english versions. Paradamed's account seems to confirm this hypothesis.

    I am at the threshold in my campaign as Averland (sp?) in 1.5 I am about to have the Chaos Armies spawn and soon enough the fatal saved games bug will occur. I will however end turn on most of these turns as far as I can ( I am thinking at least turn 100-110 from 73) As my last play through (High Elfs) I went all the way to turn 97 and still had saved game issues. Only on one campaign was I able to bypass these issues somehow (Reikland being the faction) and win the campaign objectives (turn 102 for me)

    Just wanted to let people know that I went into my Averland save (turn 73) and basically just auto battled everything until turn 105...I was able to load that game back with no problems...I also did the same as the High Elfs once...but only till turn 97 (it did not load it without crashing) The other other campaign I was able to finish was at turn 102...so I am guessing perhaps the games will not be corrupt anywhere from turn 98 to to turn 101...to be safe I would go to 105...

    Now of course auto battling and what not is never a good idea but to avoid corrupted saves and what not it might have to be until their is a fix...Hopefully all the intel I have gathered is not a fluke...

    So autoresolve got you beyond the bug and how you are able to play normal and finish the campaign?

    Well the winning conditions for Empire are quite easy. You usually only have to occupy 14 settlements (give or take a few for others) and hold them for like 80+ turns...So if you expand wisely or aggressively early on...You can easily meet those conditions...especially as Averland as the Chaos Storm units only attacked one of my settlements once...

    And yes...basically to test my theory all I did was end turn and auto win / attacker - defender for whatever battle popped up. By turn 105 (when I stopped) I saved the game and proceeded to load it...It loaded correctly and I am guessing the bug was passed...As I stated earlier in my posts I attempted to do the same thing on my High Elf campaign...all be it earlier (turn 97) and it did not work...So my guess is anywhere from turn 98-105 is when you can proceed to load / save without worry.

    In looking at the campaign script, I found that a number of the spawn armies, especially elves had armies that number more than 20 units (including the general), I wonder if this could be what is causing the ctd. No chaos army had this error.

    How many more units? because i've often seen stacks with 21 or 22 units, they never caused me any crashs.

    i think you are being slightly confused with the numbers in the stack. enemy stacks are represented in the description card at 9 to a row. so 18 fills the two rows. than you scroll down and see the other two which makes twenty if it is a full stack.

    Heh...you are not the only one...I always thought they were cheating and having 21-22 units as well!

    And perhaps boaties is on to something...
