    Default Power supplies keep busting

My Bosses kids PC recently popped the power supply, a 300w replacement(enough because it's low spec)didn't last long before it also blew any ideas?

Well at least 500W is needed for new GPUs and CPUs, so make sure its that, and get one that has high Amps.

    It's a low spec...how low exactly?

What was the brand? But it shouldn't matter too much. Was it during a storm? Power surges could be a problem also. Get a UPS, and a PSU from a reputable company(eg something like Antec is fine, don't need something terribly expensive if it's low spec).

You can use this site to calculate how much power you really need. And indeed get a proper brand like Zalman, Antec, or Tagan.
