Odd Crash issue

I have searched the forums and have not seen anything else. So my display driver is crashing. What happens is the screen freezes, then it goes black, then back to a Napoleon loading screen. It does this usually in a succession of 2 to 3 times. Often it will be a few minutes into game play. And between each time is a few seconds. Usually after the third time the game will stop responding and I have to go to the task manager to end its process. On occasion I get the error message that the Nvidia kernal display mode driver or whatever has stopped working. Now what I have tested and noticed is this crash is only happening in the campaign screen. I have been running mods, but they were all put in over 5 weeks ago. And the problems just started today and yesterday. As I stated before though, it only happens in the campaign map. Never in battle mode, or the main menu. This is very frustrating and it is preventing me from playing napoleon total war. I have tried reducing my graphical settings and it still makes no difference. Can anyone help me with this problem or redirect me? I will try uninstalling soon, but I want to try every other option first.

My gut feeling is the game is getting caught with the computer trying to decide to use the i7 or the 285M.

Have you tried to set it to one or the other in Nvidia Control Panel?

I am assuming you did the first option in the phyx panel? Also could it be my computer overheating? Its a velocity micro raptor something, big, but it gets really hot
