    I got this curious problem. I'm ending my turn 46 as Slaneesh. In the last turn I destroyed two stacks of Khorne Warriors. Now the AI refuses to end Khornes turn. The computer seems to just go on a loop or something.. I can look around the map with my arrow-keys, but have no mouse control unless I press Esc. There are no visible animations crawling along holding the game up, but I have them disabled also. Khorne have already moved his visible army-stacks. It seems he just refuses to end turn. :p


    The really curious bit is that if I don't destroy those army stacks of his, then I'm free to progress past turn 46. I've been thinking that maybe I either have a corrupted save game of some sort, or maybe I've done something in a very particular sequence triggering some bug?


    I've waited for the game to progress past Khorne for about 10 minutes. Normally each faction compute in about 2-6 seconds for me. The game continues to be responsive (I can access the menu screen for instance), so it's not a traditional hang.


    If you have some insight into this problem, or a solution, I would love to hear from you please!
    Is there perhaps some console command to make the AI drop his next turn or force progress, to bypass the whole problem?


    I did a forum search on this but found no mention of this kind of problem. There was a couple of guys having problem with slow AI turns, but their problem sounded stable (around 2-3 minutes of waiting for all factions every turn) and therefore different.

    I've added a log.
    I took a look at the file, and the log indeed seems to report some errors. I don't know the logs language, but it starts having “missing mods/” messages at already around line 30, at 00:37:08.408. Then the first “file not found” message 4 lines after. The next hundreds of line contain frequent “missing”, “not found” and "warning" messages.


    Sorry for not adding the log at once. I didn't think it would be useful, as I thought the bug would be known.


    I'm using Gigantus easy installation v1.5 with all patches up to and including the artillery fix. I've also manually modified one of the files in accordance with some forum advice in here to get rid of a bug, but I cannot seem to remember what that issue was about. I'll write it here once I remember or find the relevant post again.


    I'm also attaching the savegame after the error is triggered, and another just before it is triggered. In the savegame called Slaneesh 48 you'll find my main army up north besides Khornes lands. The last thing I did before the error triggered was placing my army next to Khornes multiple stacks as if daring him to attack. He does not attack but instead disperses his stacks into several objectives. The next turn when I hunted down and destroyed those stacks the error triggered. I'll proceed to try out if the error is repeatable from save 48 and report back.


    Any help resolving this bug would be appreciated.

    Well, I made a mess of that..
    The save Slaneesh 48 is also after the error triggered (I have just destroyed the stack, the last thing I do before the error triggers). I've now added another save. The real before the error save, as described in the last post. Don't know if you have a need of this, but better to err on the side of diligence this time around.

    I redid the sequence of events in an attempt to recreate the bug, from the last bug-free save. The events unfolded as last time but this time the error did not occur. The error will still occur if loading the first two save-games I posted tho. Please let me know if you need anything more from me in relation to searching out this bug.

    Had the same problem during my Slaneesh and Tzeentch campaigns around turn 49-50. Just got stuck on Khorne's turn. As I installed the mod only recently (well, around a month ago...), I can't really say what causes the problem. But I "fixed" it by destroying the whole Khorne faction with the surrender_regions cheat. Not the most elegant solution, but the only one I found that worked in both cases. The funny thing is, I didn't have any real problems later on (just some random ctds). The Slaneesh campaign was the first one I actually managed to finish (destroyed all empire factions, now finishing off the greenskins). All other campaigns (Reickland, Nordland, Elves, Chaos Dwarves, normal Dwarves) I started ended with broken savegames... But hey, it's an awesome mod, so I'll try again soon with Wissenland and hope the devs manage to fix the savegame problem.
