    Default North Africa/Spain ctd

Hey guys, first of all let me tell you how great this mod is and how excellent is the work done by all its developers.

However, I have a problem with the mod (IBDF, 7.03). I have tried it, uninstalled it, uninstalled RTW & BI completely, rebooted, installed RTW & BTI, updated to 1.6, installed the mod (v.7) (I did let the patch do its work), then installed 7.03.

Every time I've done this (I have tried for at least a dozen times the last months, hell I only install RTW-BI just to play this mod ) whenever I scroll the campaign map to North Africa/Spain, I get immediate ctd, no error message.

I have used search a lot to try to find a fix, and couldn't find anything useful; I ran the ca strat.exe, as recommended somewhere and I got an error message while loading the campaign, so I installed ibfd_strat. exe, so now I'm at point zero again. However, I saw someone mentioned a corrected strat.exe. Could this solve my problem, and if so, is there a link to it? Can I do sth else?

(my graphics card isn't that good, but it runs rtw/bi perfectly, as well as mods such as EB, plus it seems there's a particular problem with a tile/custom building in North Africa/Spain. I've tried lowering video settings, to no avail.)

    Thanks in advance.

Well I suppose you can try turning campaign map shadows off... That's helped me before on IB SAI when I was running my old integrated graphics card.

Thanks for the reply, although it seems all I had to do was select 'widescreen'! What do you know, sometimes it's right in front of you and yet you don't see it

edit: Actually it seems it was a one time thing. I still get the ctd. I tried with no campaign shadows, but nothing came off.

edit: it seems there's/was a corrected ca_strat.exe in 7.04, but there's no working link to it atm.

IIRC, 7.03 is still indeed the official version; 7.04 was rather unstable. Romanos,it seems to me that you're experiencing an old problem that was mentioned before. Here's the answer that I gave to another fellow forumer, just try to follow those steps, fingers crossed that it will work for you too:
