    Default Awesome mod, but

I understand that I must not save b4 a battle begins, BUT there must be an alternative. I started with West Romans, saved b4 clicking end turn. After that there follows at least five battles with random chance of CTD(especially big battles with reinforcements)(my RAM - 4 GB). After playing the first three battles already three times it's becoming very frustrating not getting through the first turn.
How can I save my progress so that I must not play 7 battle russian roulette against CTD?

If you can't find any other way of getting past CTD-ridden battles, you can always type the following:
    auto_win attacker

    or you can type:
    auto_win defender

Type either one of those in the console depending on whether you're attacking or defending. Hit enter, close the console, and just auto resolve the battle.

I guess thats the easy way out. In other mods there also were eventual CTDs and I didn't mind replaying a single battle but this is different.
So I came up with a "maybe" solution myself - does the savegame get corrupt if I save while armies/diplomats are moving and not during the pre-battle screen?

Not sure to be honest but I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that it's not recommended. You're not alone though as I too get occasional CTDs as well, or heavily laggy battles that I just want to skip so I guess you and I are in the same boat.
Be sure to check your thread every now and then to see if someone can help you though. And if you need help with anything specific, try to ask Julianus or Joar as they're the mod creators.

Another funny thing - i had a CTD during a battle cuz apparently AI was losing his troops too fast. That bridge battle was slightly laggy already but when they all started routing and running it blacked out. Any way out of this?

I have < great dubt: I defrag frequently, but now I started to think that defragging might damage the savegames of SAJ, so now I excluded from the my defrag program SAJ,..and please belive me, I have less ctd!

Question: what do you think guys? defragging can damage save gemes?

If I'm correct defrag simply moves the files around the hard drive - dunno how that affects it.
If it helps anyway my PC works slower and other games lag even though they dont normally after the SAI crashing. Any help?
