A (Manchu?) woman of the Qing period, 18th century, wearing European-style armor, a sword, and holding a monocular, from the summer palace of Chengde, China. Lol. How much do you want a bet that the Qianlong Emperor got into her pantaloons?

name is Harry Martindale. There are very similar reports from the Qing palace in Beijing and elsewhere.THE STONE TAPE THEORY
... Lethbridge’s idea in 1961 was that electrical mental impressions released during a very traumatic or emotional time such as a murder or war could be absorbed by inanimate items like moist rock and stone. These images Lethbridge surmised could then under certain conditions be replayed over and over again for many years, just like those sounds and images recorded on magnetic tape.
... Young Harry was so shocked by the apparition that he fell from his ladder to the floor, while sitting on the floor looking up he witnessed, in all he counted 16 soldiers all who were cut off at the knees, he described them as all walking with their heads downcast, giving them an aura gloomy aura of utter dejection, and their appearance was grubby and dishevelled.
... Later excavation of the property discovered a section of Roman road approximately 12 or so inches beneath the cellar floor, this would explain why the soldiers Harry witnessed were cut off at the knees.
But most events are obviously not recorded or we'd experience that everyday everywhere. How are those even picked? Some are reported to be violent and intense, but definitely not for the 16 legionaries, or court ladies in Beijing palace. There was nothing unusual about them at all.

I heard maggots. Since their ramen has no meat, do they get creative and cook maggots in it somehow?
To get rid of maggots in hardtack on sailing ships, the cook would place a dead fish on top of the biscuit sack or on a tray inside of the biscuit barrel. Maggots would crawl out of the hardtack and into the fish.--San Diego Maritime Museum, Star of India
