Crash during loading
Whenever I open the launcher from the desktop and start the game, it either says Rome:Total War is not responding or it says some skeleton javelin.tga is missing. Whenever I open the launcher from the launcher folder, it says Roma Surrectum isn't installed in the right place when it is? Can anyone help?

Please read the pinned / stickied thread before posting.
This one: here
Or even better this one: here.
You could be playing the game sooner if you read those threads.

Right, I'll re install RTW for a clean version and try these things thanks, if it doesn't work I'll post all the specs of my laptop and stuff?

Ok, my previous problems are fixed but when I've picked my faction and picked the difficulty and campaign length etc, the loading screen comes up but then it CTD's and says Rome Total War is not responding, any ideas?

Re: Crash during loading
You've clearly not bothered to read the first link that I provided.
As you can't be bothered to do that - why do you expect someone to try to help you? We do ask for those details for a reason.

Re: Crash during loading
I'm on Windows 7, my RTW is patched to 1.5, I'm not using Steam, Roma Surrectum is installed at C:/Program Files (x86)/Activison/Rome - Total War and I'm using the RTW.exe in the launcher and have tried to play as Rome and Sparta.

Re: Crash during loading
We recommend that you install games away from that folder as Windows sees it as a 'protected' folder so some strange things can happen to games in there. Even if you turn off UAC I'd recommend keeping games in a folder you create away from either 'program files' folders. A "C:\games" folder maybe?
I've even installed Steam and all it's subsequent games away from those folders.

Re: Crash during loading
So should I just move the game files into the new folder or uninstall then reinstall it into the new folder?

Re: Crash during loading
I'd say uninstall / reinstall to the new location.
If you copied it to a new location you may just be taking with it any problems from the original install.
Make sure you turn off UAC if you can. It's a feature mainly needed for a shared PC. If it's your PC there is no real need to have it on.
