A Empty Classroom [Closed rp]

During a break between classes, Ashley and Violeta enter an abandoned class room in one of the more disused parts of the school to practice their spells as the Duelling Club seems defunct for two years now and it may be useful to keep practicing as they may end up in a duel with other students over something at some point. While they were invited by someone to join a group, Violeta believed it was a trap and Ashley never found out about it, so the two decided to practice with each other instead, using a few rocks they got from outside and some old objects as targets. Ashley aims at a rock. "Diffindo." Violeta takes a small object. "Incendio."

Violeta watches the object burn, clearly pleased as it starts to crack and break into several burnt pieces. She them aims her wand at it, to cast Reparo before going onto another object to practice Incendio again, this time on two objects at once, aiming to get the fire to spread to the second. Ashley tries again with Diffindo.

"So, why don't we just go with the others?" "Waste of time, really. Don't want to be around that mudblood loving Cecil or Weatherby, after last year in Dark Arts siding with that freak. I can only put up the facade of beig nice for so long at a time, you know." "Right, right.."

[Kip]

[Xion]

Violeta looks displeased as she watches her spell fail while Ashley manages to cut the rock in half. 'Good for you." She says with clear sarcasm. Ashley looks over at her, annoyed. "What is your problem lately? You've been rather irritable and rather mean, while quiet when around our friends.." "Friends? They're YOUR friends. I despise them. Atticus is in love with me, I think..disgusting, really..also he's a liar as he never carries through with what he planned to do to others..Weatherbust is nearly as annoying as that silver haired freak who is like a book reading statue..that's like all she does. Shame she wasn't here in the first year..Acromantulas would've had a appetizer before eating the other student, haha." "Enough. You want to act like a purist jerk, go ahead. I'm not going to stick up for you anymore or be part of it. You want to have no friends, fine." The two girls glare at each other, before walking over to seperate sides of the room. "You stay on your side. Unless..you care to back up your words in a duel." "Fine. " The two raise their wands at each other and cast their first spells. "Impedimenta" "Relashio!"

[Kip]

The two spells collide in the center of the classroom, casting a hazy glow across the unoccupied desks. Violeta presses home with ease on Ashly, who manages to wrench the spells off to her side, with much effort. The magic collides with a chair, tossing it up into the air - where it freezes and hangs strangely in place, the Impedimenta spell taking hold of it mid-air.

[Xion]

Ashley pants slightly, having used more energy than she expected to deflect Violeta's spell. Violeta, on the other hand, slightly grins. "You know, you just have to admit you're wrong and I'll stop." "Never..Stupefy!" "Protego!"

[Kip]

The shield that glows about Violeta is dim and flickering, and she can realize that little magic would have difficulty penetrating it. However, perhaps due to anger or fatigue, Ashley's aim is wild, and her spell strikes the wall well above Violeta's head, raining a shower of dust down upon the girl.

[Xion]

Violeta growls in annoyance, and shakes her head to get the dust out. Ashley laughs at this. "See? It's alot harder when a target fights back, and could be even worse when it's not your cousin.." "I'll be fine..and you'll pay for that. Averte Statum!" "Flipendo!"

[Kip]

The spells again met in the center, but this time Ashley didn't have the advantage of a stronger spell on her side - Violeta was able to press her spell forward, until Ashley's grip wavered, disrupting her counter and leaving her open to, and struck by, Violeta's spell.

Ashley was flung into the air, somersaulting once, before landing roughly on her bum. She was a little dizzy, but otherwise unhurt.

[Xion]

Ashley gets up and stands still for a second, before casting the trip hex at Violeta. "Mobilicorpus!"

[Kip]

This time, it was Violeta's aim that was untrue - her curse spun off over Ashley's shoulder, while the Ashley's hex caught Violeta in the chest. The force of the collision forced her to take a step backwards - but the hex worked its magic, and Violeta's heel slipped violently from beneath her, sending her to her bum. Like Ashley, she was unhurt.

[Xion]

Violeta gets up and quickly aims her wand at Ashley. "Deprimo!" "Relashio!"

[Kip]

The spells again crossed in the center of the room, exploding in a burst of light - but neither spell remained active to press home.

[Xion]

Both girls shield their eyes from the explosion of light, and upon it's termination, cast their next spells. "Incarcerous!" Violeta smirks. "Incendio!"

[Kip]

Ashley's spell slammed into a desk beside Violeta, wrapping ropes around the legs. The Slytherin girl's jet of flame sliced just beneath Ashley's arm, scorching her wand hand and igniting her sleeve. She dropped her wand instinctively, and began patting down her arm wildly. She extinguished the fire, revealing several blackened holes in the fabric, stretching from her cuff to her elbow.

[Xion]

Ashley glares at Violeta, who is trying to pull at the ropes around her legs, looking very annoyed. "Whatever. You want to try to burn me, you can stay like that until you get out on your own. Next time I'll be sure to aim for your mouth as well maybe this'll teach you something. If I remember, I'll come back and help you if you haven't gotten untangled by then." She storms out of the room after picking up her wand and walks down a hall, cursing under her breath.

"Wonderful..it's a hollow victory as I am stuck here..hm.." She tries to aim her wand at the ropes. "I hope this works..Diffindo."

[Kip]

The spell slices cleanly through the strands of rope, which fall in coils around the floor, amidst the dust and plaster fragments thrown down by the brief duel.

[Xion]

Violeta gets up and stares at the seven remaining rocks they have. She casts Incendio on the first one, after assembling them into a line.

[Kip]

Fresh from her victory using the same spell, Violeta casts an inspired fire, which lights up the rock until it glows red hot.
