Thinking of buying Napoleon Total War?

I have tried Empire and beaten the land and sea battles on the demo, plus I heard it was too easy. i can see why. But with Napoleon on the demo at Ligny I have never beaten that. For one I have never played an empire game, so i was wondering is Ligny a hard battle or as you advance through the game itself you understand the tactics more and it gets easier? I don't want to buy a game that I'll never beta another opponent at.

With time comes experience, and with experience comes enjoyment with these games. You can't really gauge what the game is really like from the demo. I would thoroughly recommend buying it, you'll be beaten at first, but as times goes on you'll develop your own style and you'll start to win.

Thanks Mr. Harold. Just from viewing the map imo ligny may not have been the best battle for a demo.I mean you are heavily outnumbered.
Would you recommend napoleon on top of empire?

I would reccoment buying both to be honest, Empire is very good with the DMUC mod. You cna buy both of them together on steam for a fairly good price, especially with sales coming up soon.

Yes it will still run through steam. I bought Napoleon from Amazon.

You should totally buy it. It's a good game and with time you will get accustomed to playing it as well as get better at playing the game.

I decided on Napoleon and should get it by thurs.
Curious if you play as a different country other than France, does the length of the campaign varie because of the size of your home nation, ex. Britain?
