Thread: General Andy's Musket Sounds

    Icon4 General Andy's Musket Sounds

    Alright chaps,
My greatest apologies. I made this mod as well as others years ago. All of my mod making was starting to get in the way of life so I took a long break. To be honest, this is the first time coming back to my thread in a couple of years. I had no clue and still can't figure out why the link is dead. Hopefully in the days to come, possibly a week or two, I shall have the link back up and running with a better quality video and even better musket sounds than before.
I plan on doing some other sounds. At least for the artillery. We shall see.
Again, please forgive me for all the inconvenience and thank you to those who have been able to use the sounds and who have left great comments about them! Please spread the word that this mod will be back up very soon!! For now, you can use my musket sounds in the latest Darthmod. Though, I can not remember if he put them in just the Napoleon Darthmod or if he put them in both Napoleon and Empire.
For future reference: These sounds will work for both Empire and Napoleon. A lot of you were having trouble getting the sounds to work, so I will provide a detailed walk-through of how to install them.

I am considering getting back into modding and sharing some of the personal mods that I have worked on over the years. Historically accurate uniforms is one area that I'm big on and do enjoy modding.
If any of you are making mods of your own and need help or are just interested in using my stuff, shoot me a message. And if any of you are looking for a kind of team member to help out, I would be more than happy to provide you with accurate historical information or any physical mod making on any area that you may want me to work on.

My mod making goals have always and will always be based around historical accuracy. I understand that that phrase is used and thrown around a lot and does not always hold true to the meaning. But as for me, I am a historian, reenactor, and an army bagpiper. So I have always focused my mods directly on the reality of true history. My sources are far beyond Google, my friends. So I have access the history that your average mod maker doesn't. Not to say that you modders don't do a great job. Some of you are spot on and do fantastic work!! And for you that aren't necessarily into the complete accuracy, then good on ya. Like what you like. It's no bother to me. Just don't be sending me message telling me that you don't care for accuracy and think that vanilla Total War is good enough. I don't care.

As cool as this might be...I can't really be confident in downloading this without some form of video? or ability to see what it sounds like.

I mean, what is different from the original sounds? I can tell there is more base and possibly some reverb. Did you do cannons as well?

I deleted and added some musket sounds. But I didn't change it much. I'm working on one for cannons. Also, how can I edit my thread. I want to add my video above the download link.

Also, how do I close a thread. Not this one but another one.
