For those of you that like to jog, ski, cycle or take a hour at the gym, what kind of music do you listen to?

Personally i'm a bit weird in that regard but I've listened to the same damn music for years.

Basically when I'm at the gym doing weights and such, I listen only to Scooter. (Yes that blonde German guy from the 90's) I don't know why but there is something in there that really riles me up.

Particularly this song I play when doing bench, and have been doing so for years.

When I do cardio I usually always listen to this band, and the weird part is I don't even like their music. I guess I do it out of habit or something.

    Bullet For My Valentine.

Note that I don't listen to either of these two when i'm not exercising, I'm more of a rock kind of guy.

if you keep the music sexy you might convince yourself that something sexy is about to happen, it's a good motivator.

I really only listen to music when doing mindless exercises like running on a treadmill, elliptical, or stationary bike.

Biking = too dangerous to listen music in most cases lol
Skiing = Always ski with friends so It'd be weird to just go all antisocial and listen to music. I think I'd miss hearing the sound of the snow too.

Real running = It's weird, I can't stand listening to music when running, I need to hear my breath, I need to hear my feet hitting the ground. It makes me feel all surreal and suffocated, and I end up running too fast. I'll be like "alright, let's go for a little 5 mile run", *clicks shuffle on iPod and starts running down road* then, as I pass the stop sign at the end of my road (I live in the country-side) which I use as my landmark for 600m, I'll look down at my watch and see like 1:50, lol. "ah!"

But anyways, enough rambling, here's what I listened to on my last work out. Pretty fricken random bunch of songs to be honest .

Heavy metal always gets me pumped up. Heidevolk's songs especially always have nice build-up and speed.

Mostly fast, loud music. D-Beat punk & speed metal.

I've been going to the gym next door during my lunch breaks every day for the past three months, and I've been listening to Wolfbrigade's album "Comalive" every time. So driving and aggressive. Great music to listen to while doing some intense lifting.

    THE ULTIMATE WORKOUT SONG

Especially good when lifting weights, pullups, pushups, crunches, etc...
What makes a real American? A cowboy hat? Enjoying a fine T-bone
steak? Going to a baseball game? Shooting a gun? Maybe it’s the freedom to go
into a poor country and tell them how to do things?! Heh! Those are all great
qualities! But one thing that makes a true patriot is the ability to choose
an American car! When you buy an import you take a hot meal off a hard
working American’s table. There, there! This poor girl is going
to starve to death, just because you bought a cheaper, more efficient
Maibazu. Without gross symbols of excess, what will Americans have to look up
to? Our great industries is a threaten! Cars, pornography, armaments! And
they need your help! So the next time you buy a car, a piece of adult
literature or a missile defense system! Make sure you do the American thing!
