I'm thinking of undertaking a mod that would take out most of the vanilla units and replace them with new ones, including taking out some of the ships and modifying the stats of the others if possible.

What I need to do is take out a load of units, edit the starting armies and put in my new units. I'm confident I can do the last one, but is it possible to do the first two, and modify ship stats? I have the pack file manager which I've used to edit and create units but that's about all my experience.

Any tips would be appreciated.
