I've decided lately that my favorite is Siamese Dream (Smashing Pumpkins for all the uncultured )

It's a fantastic album in every way. A perfect blend of hard rock, softer rock, and even some orchestral work in there.
It's the album that understands me really. The emotions it ellicits are perfect for me. It's a testement to Corgan's (and Iha's actually- my two possible favorite songs of all time were co-written by Iha and Corgan) song writing skills. The production quality is nigh on perfect...I could go on. This is one of the definitive albums of the 1990s.

It's very hard to choose...mine is probably a tie between Still Standing (Goodie Mob), Cee-lo Green...and his Perfect Imperfections (Cee-Lo) and ATLIENS (OutKast). But it's very mood dependant to me, so I might have forgotten one.

    1. Still Standing proves that rap is not all about *****es, hoes, bling bling, being 'gangsta' or other stuff like that. It's full of positive messages, and it calls attention to problems 'in the hood', just like their first album, Soul Food. The big difference between this album and Soul Food is that this album has a style more similar to OutKast, and is overall a bit faster-paced. They actually have a song with a bit of a rock-ish sound (Just About Over), which I can appreciate.

    2. Perfect Imperfections is the first solo album of Cee-Lo, a member of the Goodie Mob. It proves that Cee-lo is not only one of the greatest rappers around, but also a very good singer. Right now, there is a big buzz around Gnarls Barkley (= Cee-lo + Danger Mouse), but I think this album is way more special (Gnarls Barkley is great too though). On this album every song is different. This cd, along with Cee-lo's other albums, and the albums of The Goodie Mob, show that Cee-lo is one of the greatest musicians of this time.

    3. ATLIENS is an OutKast album that leans more to the style of the Goodie Mob. The 'OutKast style' is more party-ish, with good beats and a positive message, while the 'Goodie Mob style' is more like a positive message, adressing the problems 'in the hood'. This album, like Still Standing, is in the middle of those 2 styles. It's more serious and spiritual than the other OutKast albums, but it still has the OutKast feel to it.

It's hard for me to choose, but I think my favorite album is probably Recipe For Hate by Bad Religion.

    1. "Recipe for Hate" – 2:02
    2. "Kerosene" – 2:41
    3. "American Jesus" – 3:17
    4. "Portrait Of Authority" – 2:44
    5. "Man With A Mission" – 3:11
    6. "All Good Soldiers" – 3:07
    7. "Watch It Die" – 2:34
    8. "Struck A Nerve" – 3:47
    9. "My Poor Friend Me" – 2:42
    10. "Lookin' In" – 2:03
    11. "Don't Pray On Me" – 2:42
    12. "Modern Day Catastrophists" – 2:46
    13. "Skyscraper" – 2:15
    14. "Stealth" – 0:42

Recipe For Hate has more interesting guitar parts than other albums, and just great songs overall. It is more "experimental," which turned out to be a positive thing.

The Wall, by Pink Floyd, ahs to top it for me. Great songs, in fact it contains what I think is their best song, in the form of Comfortably Numb; it ahs a theme and a style beyond compare; its start isn't some sort of medley but a song in its own right; and it is one of the best-selling records of all time just to top it all off.

The other possibility is Dark Side of the Moon; also an excellent album, this time starting with a medley but running into an excellent instrumental/synthetic piece, followed by dark and grim songs that could only come from Pink Floyd due to their dire predictions; and there's Great Gig in the Sky, with the vocalist being told to let rip and doing so absolutely; and rounded off by "Brain Damage" and "Eclipse", two more of the Floyd's greatest songs.
