Game saves

I have the 5 Emperors installed now i did really well to push Hannibal out of italy and then squash the Roman rebellion...i got up to 554 AD i think it was and i couldn't save the game anymore no autosave and no manual save so i just wasted the better part of 4 hours anyone else have this problem...or is there a way around it any info would be appreciated....

You mean, when you ESC, there is no possibility to press Save/load? That is answered in an other thread, but you have to press ESC, press on the question mark, press ESC again, press the close button (X) on the advisor, click on a city - the advisor retourns - and press and his face You will get 1 denarii in addition, that means you have acitivated the RS script again.
Now you should be able to save / load.
Whenever you have loaded a file / started RS again, you have to activate the script again.
