    Default Archer's paradox

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archer's_paradox

Pretty new term, but I remember when I shot a couple of years ago the arrow that I have shot when straight for the center except...

...it zig zagged in mid air. It went like a Z in mid air (it wobbled very much) but then it hit the center.

Is it the same as the Archer's Paradox or there's another explanation for this?
    Ja mata, TosaInu. Forever remembered.

    Total War Org - https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/

Swords Made of Letters - 1938. The war is looming over France - and Alexandre Reythier does not have much time left to protect his country. A finished novel, published on TWC.

I'd say the explanation in your case is the arrow wasn't stiff enough for your bow and you got lucky And yea thats related to the "archers paradox" but it seems more like basic physics.

Back when I was into archery but young and poor I'd often see my cheap arrows wobble, almost vibrate to the target.

    My shameful truth.

Yup, it has to do with a mismatch between the construction of the individual arrow and the bow transferring the kinetic energy to the arrow. I see it all the time when I am running an Archery range because of the cobbled together nature of the equipment, arrows often wobble a great deal in the air even when only traveling 50 or so yards.
