Would that include spelling corrections pre-battle speeches?

No it will not, as the speeches are prerecorded and i cannot be bothered to change something that most people ignore, as the changes would greatly increase the size of the patch.

EDIT: first post updated with what the patch will fix and the reskinned/remodelled romans it will include.

I love the new changes to the Romans, though small. Now I can use them in my campaign. Gaul thought they had it bad with the other legions, but wait until they see these new lagions!!

Just a little question. I modified build times of all units to 0 turns (So I can recruit up to 9 in one turn from one settlement), and changed some building's build time (Example, I thought a year was a little excessive to build that little trader shack for the level 1 trader). So would this patch clash with any of my little modifications and give me CTD's, or am I ok as far as that goes.

And uh, as for my modifications, what can I say? I like SPQR and this game was just no fun for me having to wait so long to build everything.

I believe lusted's patch is concerned only on buildings. Hopefully, your modification on recruit times wont be affected.

How about give all levies maximum units so they atleast are worth using in battle? And perhaps you should rebalance the upkeep cost for all units.
Elite units, and cavalry should be the most expensive (excluded cavalry factions)... And have you tried using 0-turn recruitment? Not sure how it will work, but would be nice to know.

No 0-turn recruitment time, i want less battles than vanila not more. Revan, the patch will affect both the unit and building files, the unit files just in the costs for the beserkers and the building files in fixing a few errors made with missing units for factions/missing buildings for factions. The basic infantry are meant o be cheap and cheerful units mostly used for garrison duty, they are not meant to be very useful in battle.

Im not sure if its just 3Dsmax Lusted but the metal on the Principe/Hastati etc helmets looks quite flat and yellowish to me, just seems a bit strange. Im sure a skinner of your talent intended it as such but it just seems a bit odd to my eye.

Otherwise lovely work...i love the chainmail on your units, looks superb

Believe me they look very good ingame, and the texture is not flat at all, the yellowish colour helps give the helmets a shine ingame without the need for gloss files.

So from what I gather I do not need to fear about CTD's or the like.

Anyway, Holger, I could show you how to change unit recruitment time to 0 if you want to try it out, and don't know how of course.

yeah what lusteds trying say i think revan is that the patch modifies the export_descr_unit and buildings files or even overwrites them, so all your little modification will be erased-so you'll have to do them again,i also have mini modded some of the text files, but i think ive fixed nearly everything lusted is doin with the patch, so i might pass on the patch thnx lusted! (the mans a legend, te5.0 rocks!)

You wouldn't have CTDs but it would affect your little modification to recruitment times and building times.
