Forged Sword to the King

Tobho Mott has forged a Valyrian sword to recently crowned King, Tyrion I Tyrell. The Sword was made of Dragonglass, named Kingslayer because Tyrion was the one who killed the Targaryen King.

OOC: Problem I have is storyline a bit. I have to know the history of how the Tyrell's assumed the throne. Because for my storyline, it's still set to everything from GoT (before 298 AL), including the Baratheon's rebellion. The Tyrell's fought WITH the Targaryen's, now if you want to change that, we need to make a general background story so everyones story isnt off..

I'm saying people need a more detailed storyline. If everyones is different we might as well not even have backgrounds? "Oh when the lannisters had dragons", "Oh when the Vale Kings ruled the Iron Throne". Considering we are starting at 298 AL, as already previously established. And the support by others to honor the history of GoT timeline, good background alterations are necessary to make sense of all that's led up to this point...

I altered mine a lot, however still honoring the general idea that there was a rebellion, the king was dethroned, but how and why are the Tyrells kings? There has to be a story behind it.

I invented the Princeguard, I invented the Prince's Road. I backed up all my characters with storylines. We need a more detailed foundation for this RP to reference past events that everyone can agree on.... Again its organization. I did not say alter it for my story. I said make a good background so others can base theirs off yours. For example. If the Tyrells killed the Targaryens.. Howd and whyd they do it? Where were the Baratheons, etc. Its simple stuff.

I agree that we all need to figure out the history of the game before we start getting too into it. Otherwise there will be contradicting storylines and motives for certain actions based on wildly different histories.

Thank you, a sensible response from someone who actually understood what I was saying lol. I got no problem fixing my story and RP to adjust to whatever background is conjured up. But bottom line is we need a background conjured up. Not just "Oh coronation of Tyrion I Tyrell". How? Why? He's the one who killed the Targaryens? Okay why wait 15 years to coronate him? Or is that is father that was king first?

For experienced roleplayers like some people say they are, I find their backgrounds rather undetailed.

In GoT it went like this

Rebels:
Baratheons, Arryns, Starks, Tullys, Lannisters

Loyalists:
Targaryens, Tyrells, Martells

Now that's what i thought we were going to generally base this on. But now that the Tyrells have been made kings, it completely changes that story lol. The only logical way I see it if indeed the rebellion remained what it was is the rebels overthrowing the targaryens but installing the tyrells to the throne as their stead. That makes sense and explains why the Tyrells sit the Iron Throne. And still supports my houses unsettling feeling of the tyrells (enemies of martells for over 1,000 years) are crowned as usurpers. Makes sense to me. Unless you guys can think of a better backstory..

Is it really that hard to go back barely 20 years or less and say, "The mad king Aerys II was making unrest everywhere. They particularly made mad the Tyrells who were joined by many of the other great houses to overthrow them." Basically take out Baratheon insert Tyrell and then move on to agreeing upon what the Tyrell's used for their claim to the throne.

But did the same Tyrell not just claim he killed the Mad King Aerys II Targaryen? Why is he just now being coronated if it happened 20 years ago as you say? And what is wrong with the notion of the Tyrells being placed on the Throne by the rebels just because they were sick of Targaryen cruelty? Is that not easier, that way the history remains the same? The Tyrells were loyal, and were given the throne by the rebels as a replacement. That way it atleast backs up the history, which we agreed to honor (Pre-297AL)

You haven't even set up a family aside from taking over the coronation thread as soon as somebody left lol. How bout you RP properly? Where's the Tyrell background?? That we can all base our own families and backgrounds off of lol. And I'm the one ruining it? I'm stressing for more organization. Right now its a jumble. Lol
